A consortia of UK and Chinese universities were invited to apply for up to ￡500,000 of AHRC funding for projects on IP- and copyright-related research relating to the contemporary Chinese situation. It was finally agreed to fund six full bid proposals. Here is information about some of the funded projects.

Additional funding to Project 3 has been provided through CREATe. CREATe is the RCUK Centre for Copyright and New Business Models in the Creative Economy, based at the University of Glasgow. It is funded jointly by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). CREATe investigates the future of creative production in the digital age, and in particular the role of copyright. Details of the associated project can be found below.
