The UNNC Open Day is organised every year for the public and prospective students and their parents to visit our campus. The 2026 UNNC Open Day will take place on Saturday 11 April, 8:30-16:00.

10. Campus run

Registration location and starting point: Nottingham Landmark
Along the way, there are volunteers spreading safe, non-toxic coloured corn powder. There will also be a Bubble Party at the finish line.(In response to the university’s commitment to sustainability, no special T-shirts will be provided. Participants are kindly asked to bring their own clothing.)
11. Global village
Time: 10:00-12:00 & 13:00-15:00 Venue: Lawn in front of PB
The Global Village event will welcome representatives from over a dozen countries and regions to create a vibrant marketplace. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience an international campus through activities like food tasting and interactive games.
12. Alumni activities
Join us for a heartwarming celebration as alumni return to campus to rekindle friendship, share stories, and create new memories. This year’s Homecoming features five exciting highlights designed especially for our alumni.
- Alumni mass wedding

A mass wedding ceremony for alumni couples will take place on campus. Witnessing their union and shared journey will be teachers and fellow alumni.
- Social corner
Time: 13:00
Discover new connections and old friends through fun, interest-based activities - meet your perfect “buddy” and enjoy lively conversations in our friendly social corner.
- Alumni mentor-mentee meet-up
This dedicated event welcomes mentors back to campus to engage directly with their mentees in an informal yet purposeful setting. Through facilitated interactions and shared activities, the session seeks to enhance interpersonal bonds, facilitate knowledge exchange, and reinforce the supportive network that lies at the heart of the alumni mentoring programme.
- Faculty alumni gatherings
Reunite with your academic family! NUBS China, FHSS and FOSE will all host special gatherings on the 11 April and 12 April for alumni to reconnect and reminisce about their campus days.
- Campus tour with prizes
Join this interactive route game—visit designated landmarks, complete simple challenges, and collect stamps at each stop. Once you’ve filled your stamp card, redeem exclusive commemorative gifts and afternoon tea treats at the final station!
13. UNNC museum
The UNNC Museum serves as a one-stop destination to explore the university's institutional memory. Through exhibits and collections, the museum showcases UNNC's journey from its inception to the present day. On the Open Day, you may visit the museum by yourself.
- Riverside Gallery | Hu Qindi: Overlapping Curiosities
Overlapping Curiosities presents Hu Qindi’s practice, shaped through the sustained act of everyday birdwatching and site-responsive ecological inquiry. Developed through fieldwork in Ningbo and its environs, the exhibition assembles research notes, preparatory sketches, and tin-foil prints that register the artist’s close attention to avian life and its habitats.
Visitors are invited to extend this process through a participatory printmaking activity, producing a simple impression to take away—your own “bird of the day.”
- UNNC Shop will officially launch its trial opening on April 11, making its debut during Open Day
Bringing together thoughtfully designed campus merchandise by UNNC students and staff, alongside a curated selection of charming art-inspired lifestyle goods, the shop offers everything from practical everyday items to small, delightful finds.
Whether you’re looking for a meaningful UNNC keepsake or simply something that sparks a little joy, UNNC Shop is well worth a visit. Drop by on Open Day, have a browse, and you might just discover your “find of the day.”
14. The Library
We invite you to explore the library quietly during the Open Day, using the on-site signage as your guide. Additionally, please feel free to visit the Among the Forest: A'Ning's Ceramic Art Solo Exhibitionin the gallery on the library's first floor (accessible without entering the main library).

Mysterious NPCs will appear across the campus, bringing unexpected surprise performances and interactive experiences that let you fully explore both Chinese and British cultures.Welcome everyone to dress in distinctive Chinese and British styles and light up our Open Day!
16. Rest area

Take a break, enjoy afternoon tea, and join fun lawn games. Relax and recharge on the grass.
17. Open Day mission guide
- Head to the reception desk to grab your time travel passport (limited to 1,000 copies).
- Join Open Day activities and collect stamps from NPCs across campus.
- Collect stamps to redeem gifts! Redeem 8 stamps at the reception desk for a limited-edition Open Day gift.
18. City impression stamp collection
Time: 9:00-16:00
Main venue of the event: Lawn in front of YANG Fujia Building
In collaboration with Banzhen Ningbo, we’ve brought a special collection of Ningbo City Memory Stamps! From iconic landmarks to local culture, each stamp tells a unique story of the city. Let these stamps bring you closer to the unique cultural essence of Ningbo.
19. Green actions
On the Open Day, visitors who use public transport can exchange their travel records for a free single metro ticket provided by Ningbo Rail Transit at the South Gate of the PMB. Limited to 2000 tickets – first come, first served!
Visit registration: Pedestrians please enter the campus through Gate 1 or Gate 4, while vehicles should enter via Gate 1 and exit via Gate 4.To enter the university, you need to sign in at the registration desks at the gates with the QR code of successful registration or confirmation email.
Campus tour: You can find volunteers to guide you in front of Siyuan Auditorium. The campus tour starts at the top of every hour with a group of about 20 people (9:00; 10:00; 11:00; 12:00; 13:00; 14:00; 15:00).
Guided routes: teaching buildings, Sports Centre, campus residential zones, dormitory, etc.
Reception desk: Reception desk is set in front of the Siyuan Auditorium, providing the following services: medical aid, lost and found, personnel search, and gift collection.
Reminders:
- To avoid traffic congestion, please travel as environmentally conscious as possible; for parking, please follow our Security’s guidance.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult when entering the UNNC campus.
- Pets are not allowed on campus on the Open Day.
- Please take good care of your belongings. The lost and found service is available at the reception desk in front of the Siyuan Auditorium.
- Please arrange your visit in advance and be aware of potential weather changes.
- Please observe the safety instructions for visitors. No open fires or fireworks are permitted on campus during the Open Day.
