Surfing
Surfing is a classic water sport that involves riding ocean waves on a surfboard, using key techniques like reading wave patterns to catch the right swell, maintaining balance on the board (with knees slightly bent for stability), and adjusting body position to steer or ride along the wave' s face—all while feeling the energy of the ocean and the thrill of gliding on water.
Your surfing journey (designed for complete beginners!) will start with gearing up in beginner-friendly gear: a soft-top foam surfboard (safer and easier to handle for new learners), a well-fitted life jacket, a rash guard (to protect skin from friction and sun), and non-slip wax applied to the board (for better foot grip). Next, our coaches will guide you through step-by-step training: first, land-based drills (like practicing the “pop-up” move to stand on the board quickly) and wave-reading basics, then shallow-water practice (with coaches holding the board to help you catch small, gentle waves) to build confidence before you ride independently.
We organize surfing trips to Bali, Indonesia, during school holidays. Bali' s coastal areas (chosen specifically for beginners) have gentle, consistent waves and clear shallow waters—perfect for learning to surf from scratch. The holiday schedule gives you enough time to progress at a relaxed pace: no rush, just daily guided practice, tips from experienced coaches, and the chance to enjoy Bali' s sunny beaches while mastering your first surf ride.
