The University of Nottingham Ningbo China PE Programme contains a total of 4 credits, which need to be completed within the four semesters of Y1 and Y2. To pass the PE programme you will need to earn 4 credits, 1 credit per semester. The passing of the PE programme is a necessary condition for obtaining scholarships, exchange qualifications, graduation certificates, and degree certificates.

Physical Education plays a key role for your development in terms of skill development, improving your physical and mental health, and increasing your capacity to learn, retain new information and peform better at your studies.

Y1 and Y2 students in mainland China are required to attend a 90-minute PE class once a week during semester. After the course, PE teachers will conduct a comprehensive assessment of whether students have achieved the course objectives.

At present, the Sport Department offers 17 different types of PE courses, eight of which, including Basketball, Climbing, Archery, Badminton, Yoga,  Tennis, Pickleball, Table tennis, Frisbee have brand new L2 courses. L2 PE class are for students who would like to continue learning in those eight sports to progress their skills, to do this you must have achieved a pass grade of 75 the previous year.
