For all Year 1 and Year 2 mainland Chinese students, it is a requirement from the Ministry of Education that they undertake compulsory PE classes whilst at university. The classes are designed to improve students’ fitness, wellbeing, and skill development and are assessed each semester. Students must pass PE each semester or risk losing the opportunity to study abroad, earn scholarships, and gain their Chinese degree certificate and diploma.
UNNC Sport have made both a video and e-book to guide PE students through the requirements and processes linked to the programme which will be given to all Year 1 students upon starting at UNNC.
UNNC provides its students with a wide range of different sports and activities to choose from as part of the PE Programme. This year, the following activities are on offer:
Archery

The assessment for PE involves three aspects: fitness testing, attendance, and skilled assessment for the chosen sport. For more information about the fitness testing aspect of the programme, please view the PE Fitness Test page.
