As part of FoSE Undergraduate Research Placement, the Summer Undergraduate Research Program in Civil Engineering provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to undertake research attachments for eight weeks at UNNC this summer. Many students have been actively engaged in various research projects under the supervision of a faculty member and earn their hands-on research experience.

Summer research opportunity programs are initiated to introduce eligible undergraduates to engage in the research process in an area of their choice. Research experiences during the summer can stimulate an interest in science/engineering that may lead to students discovering their areas of passion. They will also have the opportunity to work with researchers, e.g., Ph.D. students with extensive experience.
