Sino-UK Health Forum:

Health-Care Reform in China: Past, Present and the Future

The School of Economics and the Center for Health Economics at University of Nottingham NingboChina will hold the inaugural conference of Sino-UK Health Forum. The main theme of the 2019Conference is Health-Care Reform in China: Past, Present and the Future. As 2019 is the tenthanniversary of health-care reform plan unveiled in 2009, it is important for academic community toevaluate the progress of health-care reform in China. In particularly, there is a wide public concernon whether the reform of health care system in China is able to cope with several challenging issuesarising from the increasing burden of non-communicable disease and population ageing.

TO SUBMIT A PAPER: The deadline to submit the abstract of a research article is March 31, 2019. The Forum will select 36 papers for an oral presentation at the concurrent sessions (on May 11). Thetime length of each concurrent session is 90 minutes and each session will have three paperpresentations by authors and comments by three discussants. Young researchers are especiallyencouraged to apply. No poster presentation will be accepted. The abstracts (in English) have to be sent to the following email address: Yanjie.Bei@nottingham.edu.cn

The papers presented at the Forum are encouraged (but not required) to submit to the proposed special issue of China Economic Review under the standard review process.

The Deadline of REGISTRATION: April 30, 2019. No registration fee for the selected paper presenters.

 ACCOMMODATION and TRAVEL EXPENSES: The Forum will cover the speaker’s costs of hotel (up to 3 nights) and food. However, speakers have to cover their own travel expenses.
