An economics graduate from UNNC is highly sought after in the job market and is well-placed to progress to graduate study.

Our undergraduate programmes combine all of the core analytical and quantitative techniques required by modern economics graduates. By the time you graduate you will:
- be familiar with advanced maths and econometrics, and key techniques that economists use in practice;
- have essential skills in core disciplines of economics, such as microeconomics, macroeconomics and international trade;
- have a sophisticated understanding of all the major sub-disciplines of economics, from financial and monetary economics to development, public and labour economics.

For first year students
- Martin Totty Prize for Outstanding Achievement (UNUK campus)*
- School Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Undergraduate Year 1 (1 for UNNC and 1 for UNMC campus)*
- School Prize for Performance in Undergraduate Year 1 (up to 4 prizes across the 3 campuses)
For second year students
- Martin Totty Prize for Outstanding Achievement (UNUK campus)*
- School Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Undergraduate Year 2 (1 for UNNC and 1 for UNMC campus)*
- School Prize for Performance in Undergraduate Year 2 (up to six prizes across 3 campuses)
For third year students

- Sir Clive Granger Prize for Outstanding Achievement (UNUK campus)*

Sir Clive Granger is a former Nottingham Economics PhD Student and staff member who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2003.
