IAPS Internship

IAPS runs a one-year-long student internship and is one of the most competitive internship programme on campus. Students of high calibre were selected from various schools to participate in this internship, which will train them in various life-long and research skills such as managing social media, website maintenance, video and photo taking, translating and transcribing, logistic management, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Three most important things I’ve obtained from IAPS internship are excellent guest speaker lectures, lifelong friends and working ability. IAPS offers a series of guest speaker lectures over a wide range of topics. IAPS interns are a big family. We work together and play together. Some of us still make video calls to share our lives. My three years in IAPS has taught me how to organise events, how to balance my work and study, how to coordinate with other people, and how to position myself in a leadership position.

I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to be an intern in the IAPS, where the friendly, energetic and intelligent interns and tutors gather to become a big family. In the two years here, I have learnt research skills from participating in research projects. It has also improved my time management skill and work efficiency. The most impressive thing is to meet IAPS members who broaden my horizon. All of them encourage me to pursue my dream and always work hard. Being an IAPS intern is one of my best choices in my college life. Three most important skills I’ve obtained from IAPS internship are efficient communication, research and teamwork abilities. During my two years in IAPS, city tour is one of the main tasks in logistics daily work. It helps me develop specific knowledge of Ningbo culture and enhances my communication skills. With invited scholars from all over the world, IAPS offers me a plenty of opportunities to broaden my horizon and to participate in my interested research areas.
