Established in 2018, NottinGreen aims to raise environmental awareness on campus through spreading knowledge and promoting action. Activities in NottinGreen is focused on 3Es, which are environment, ecology and efficiency. The members of the society include students who are all passionate in making positive environmental change. reUNNC is a staff club that aims to promote a less wasteful lifestyle by encouraging reusing, repurposing and freecycling. Since its establishment in 2021, the club has proactively implemented environmental sustainability practices on campus and organized various events to raise awareness on a sustainable lifestyle. The Nottingham Ningbo China Beacons of Excellence Research and Innovation Institute (China Beacons Institute) 

China Beacons Institute was jointly established by the Ningbo Municipal Government and the University of Nottingham in the Ningbo National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone in September 2020. With focused areas on Intelligent Manufacturing, Green Chemicals and Energy, and Life Sciences and Health care, it aims to create a world-class science and technology innovation platform to support and drive the industrial development of Ningbo. Centre for Sustainable Energy Technologies

Officially opened in September 2008, Centre for Sustainable Energy Technologies (CSET) is located at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) and led by the Faculty of Science and Engineering.  Its unique architectural design embodied with low carbon strategy helps it received national and international awards. The CSET building demonstrates the recent techniques for environmentally responsible and sustainable construction as an exemplar building. It has attracted and welcomed thousands of guests, including central and local government officials, enterprise leaders, scholars, and students. More about CSET

Ningbo History Digital Humanities Lab

Launched in 2019, the Ningbo History Digital Humanities project is a large-scale cross-faculty/department project which delivers themed research around Ningbo history. The research topics cover local history and culture, climate, literature, religion, historical maps, historical photos, city morphology, water management, urban landscape, and may be further expanded.
