UNNC is committed to developing a carbon-neutral campus, following Science-based Targets initiative’s approach to set ambitious targets against climate change. At this moment, UNNC is dedicated in the University-wide carbon inventory development based on global standards and expected to gradually formulate a systematic roadmap in the near future towards a carbon-neutral campus, which will cover topics such as Energy management, Resource management, Waste management, Sustainable commuting & travels, Biodiversity, Sustainable procurement and Sustainable catering.

Nottingham Community Garden is an area run by UNNC Staff Gardening Club.

Freecycling Corners
To freecycle is to give away to others what you no longer need or want, and to look for second-hand alternatives before you buy.
To date, 9 fixed freecycling corners have been set up on campus, to facilitate and encourage this sustainable action in daily life.
