Paths & Nature Sustainability Exhibition

In 2024 spring, an exhibition named "Paths & Nature" was successfully held in both UNNC and Ningbo Library, which focused on environmental protection and sustainable development. This exhibition was independently initiated, designed and executed by a group of UNNC students with varied backgrounds and ages under the support of UNNC Environmental Sustainability Committee. It raised high attentions and active discussions from the public. A model artwork titled "Nature Invasion" made from biodegradable materials demonstrated human beings' excessive encroachment on nature with the perspective of role reversal. The exhibition also included digital paintings, nature photography, and aerial photos, awakening the audience to a rethinking of the importance of environmental protection.

There are however ways we could reduce the negative effects of these activities.  This talk will provide the context of the environmental crisis we are facing now, and elaborate the importance of changing our behaviours to mitigate these effects. We will discuss what we could do as part of the UNNC Community to help the environment. Examples will include water and energy conservation, the 5Rs (Reuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot), our consumption patterns and illustrate how choices made by us on campus could positively impact our environment and planet.
