Green Festival Photo Exhibition & Competition in Library
The Green Festival, starting today and running until 25th April, has different themes planned each day to promote environmental sustainability awareness for all students and staff with a series of fun activities.
Following the previous call for entries to the ‘Biodiversity across the UNNC Campus’ themed photo competition, we received many great pieces of work. The 15 selected entrants are now exhibited in the glass lounge bridge on the third floor of the Library. We warmly invite you to check out the wonderful ecology landscapes across the campus captured by our students and staff and vote for those you feel should be awarded first, second and third prizes. (The voting has closed at 23:00 on 25th April. )

Call for Entries for Green Festival Photo Competition
The Environmental Sustainability Committee, together with NottinGreen, will host a Green Festival from 19th to 24th April.
Various environmental sustainability related activities will take place and will be open for all to attend, including the Campus Scenery Photo Competition.Winners will have the chance to be win great prizes.
Theme: Biodiversity across the UNNC campus
Scope: Ecological landscapes across the University, including animals such as birds and ducks, and/or plants, trees or flowers on campus.
How to participate
- Please submit your entries (titled as “photo title + university staff/student ID”) using the Application Form (and Model Consent Form for portraiture) to Sustainability@nottingham.edu.cn by 11:00AM 14 April. (the registration has closed)
- The format of the entry should be JPEG (jpg) file and the photo size should be no less than 800*600 pixels, with a ratio of 3:2 or 2:3.
- Entries can be in black-and-white or colour but should capture the theme of "Biodiversity in UNNC". The display effect can be adjusted through appropriate processing, but the basic nature of photographic works must be maintained. Any operation that distorts the authenticity of the work is prohibited.
Selection and Judgement
- 15 entrants will be shortlisted by a panel of the Green Festival working group.
- Those 15 entries will be exhibited in the Library during the Green Festival.
- Final awards will be decided by WeChat/Staff Portal voting (70%) and the panel judgement (30%).

Please note the decision of the shortlisting judges and the judging panel is final and not open to debate or discussion. You are responsible for keeping any copies you may have of the originals, as photos cannot be returned.
