Top 3 priorities

UNNC is on the way in developing our sustainability strategic plan. At this moment, transition to a carbon-neutral campus, strengthen sustainability awareness and advocacy, and engage with global sustainability initiatives are the Top 3 priorities in UNNC sustainable development agenda.

Carbon-neutral campus

Our primary goal is to transition to a carbon-neutral campus, significantly reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to the fight against climate change. This involves implementing energy-efficient technologies, promoting renewable energy sources, and adopting sustainable practices in all aspects of campus operations. We aim to serve as a model for sustainable university practices and inspire similar initiatives within our community and beyond.

Awareness & advocacy

Recognizing that sustainability is a shared responsibility, we are committed to raising awareness and promoting advocacy among our students, staff, and the broader community. Through educational programs, workshops, campaigns, and community initiatives, we strive to empower individuals to make sustainable choices in their daily lives and equip next-generation talents with sustainability mindset. By fostering a culture of sustainability, we aim to create a community that not only understands the importance of environmental stewardship but also actively advocates for it.

Global engagement

Sustainability is a global challenge that requires collaborative efforts across borders. At UNNC, we are committed to global engagement through research collaborations, international partnerships, and participatory initiatives that address global sustainability challenges. By engaging with global networks and contributing to international sustainability agendas, we aim to leverage our expertise and resources to drive positive change on a global scale.
