Catherine studied at the Art School of Saint-Lô, the School of Fine Arts in Caen, and with Monique Baroni and Paul Ambille (twentieth -twenty-first centuries).
Catherine Vaudron begins her works by drawing, with a foothold in her pictorial work and present throughout the creative process. Then come the colours. Attaching great importance to the development of these, she manufactures them, refining and manipulating them patiently, and with passion. An integral and essential part of the construction of her work, she has few colours on her palette, but uses them with precision... at the right time and in the right place. In this way, her compositions are structured using areas of dark colours and blank areas, amongst which the focal points can be found. This is similar to some works of the artists who have influenced her and continue to make her progress, such as Bonnard (1867-1947) and Gauguin (1843-1903).
