Essential Information Literacy
The library delivers embedded information literacy sessions in modules to empower students to become independent learners who can engage with information resources. The sessions guide students to learn when and why information is required, where to find it, and how to evaluate, use and communicate it in an ethical way.

Finding databases that are relevant to your field of study and research can be difficult but once you reach those databases, your research can be a breeze. These training sessions will help you to identify suitable databases for your field, develop a search strategy, and access scholarly information and resources on your topic:

Research Literacy
Essential Research Literacy
The library provides practical and straightforward teachings to help researchers plan, publish, share, and evaluate their research systematically. The sessions guide researchers to learn when and why information is required, where to find it, and how to evaluate, use and communicate it in an ethical way. Meanwhile, the sessions will enrich researchers' knowledge and understanding of the research lifecycle.
Enhancing Research Skills
Participants will enhance their research skills by mastering tools and techniques for managing research output with UNNC's Research Information System (RIS), utilizing Scopus AI for data analysis, creating impactful academic visuals, understanding publication processes, and effectively employing various research tools to boost their scholarly productivity and visibility.

The self-paced online module Digital Student is here to provide students with essential digital literacy skills that will support their academic success, research efforts, professional lives or future studies.
Advanced Digital Skills
In addition to the essential digital skills needed for your daily studies, the Library provides a comprehensive range of training sessions, workshops, and online courses designed to equip students with cutting-edge technologies and practical expertise required for certain courses. These advanced offerings cover topics such as virtual reality (VR) applications, advanced video production techniques, and the use of specialised digital systems. Participants will gain hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge that can be directly applied to their coursework, enhancing their ability to succeed academically and professionally.

Employability Edge
Data Scholarship
Students will work in a team together with supervision from the Librarian to define a cultural, historical, or sociological area of interest, investigating digital resources, existing data sets, and archives and using these as a basis to create new data scholarship outputs.
Technologies for Learning
In this module, students will receive a thorough introduction to the WonderLab (featuring multi-touch screens) and the XR Studio (equipped with VR equipment) at UNNC. These facilities house the hardware, software, and expertise necessary for learning with these advanced technologies. Students will gain hands-on experience and develop a deep understanding of how these tools can be utilized in educational settings.
Sustainability Assembly
This module is aimed at NAA participants who would like to learn more about sustainability and discuss the complex issues surrounding the UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) with an interdisciplinary group of friends from all faculties.
Sustainability Projects
This module uses Sustainability as a universal concept and global challenge as the main theme of the module. It will embed competency skills such as project management, ability to assess and address problems and innovation in solving issues.
