Mengpin Zhang

Mengpin is a licensed clinical psychologist with the American Board of Clinical Psychology. She received her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from George Washington University.

Mengpin completed her post-doctoral training at Columbia University Counseling and Psychological Services, and completed her internship at SUNY Upstate Medical University in New York State.

Mengpin has worked with college students from a variety of cultural and racial backgrounds.

While recognising the importance of customising therapy to the needs of the particular individual, Mengpin is especially interested and extensively trained in psychodynamic, insight-oriented therapy. She believes that building a strong therapeutic alliance and addressing student’s internal conflicts are important elements of the healing process.

Mengpin is passionate about working with students on topics relevant to trauma, attachment, immigration and relational dynamics and concerns, and eating and body image issues.
