The Clinic provides a wide range of medical services to the University community including primary care, first aid, medication service, hospital appointment, medical interpretation, vaccination assistance, medical equipment rental, medical standby for high-risk activities, MSH direct billing, student health check, occupational disease support, and etc.

Main services

01 Pharmacy 

The Clinic provides over a hundred medicines (follow up our WeChat account to see our updated pharmacy listing). A doctor's prescription is required to place an order (minimum 7 working days).

Note: We encourage our students and staff to bring the medication they need with them, as certain medications may be difficult to obtain in some scenarios. You are welcome to check the availability of medication with us in advance by emailing UNNC.Clinic@nottingham.edu.cn 

02 Medical supporting service 

Ice bags, portable emergency oxygen packs, crutches and wheelchairs can be hired if you needed.

Sphygmomanometer (BP device): measure your blood pressure.

Glucometer: measure your blood sugar levels.

Pulse Oximeter: a non-invasive method of monitoring a person's oxygen saturation (SO2) using a sensor device placed on the fingertip.

Oxygen generator: provide oxygen when urgent care is needed.

Medical supersonic nebuliser: drug inhalation therapy.

Sick leave: we provide the ‘Sick leave statement’ for UNNC students and staff. Doctors would decide to issue a medical certificate depending on your situation. If it is difficult for you to come to our clinic, please call us at +86-574-88180120 (outpatient service hours) and 15168185997 (24/7 every day) to get help. 

03 Payment and assurance service 

Payment can be made by cash, WeChat and campus card.

Social medical insurance card or e-medical card (if applicable) in Alipay.

MSH Insurance direct billing is available (see below for more information).

04 Injection service (08:30 to 16:00 every day) 

We provide the intramuscular injection service based on the situations below, the clinic provides an intramuscular injection service. 

○ Medical records and doctor's prescription must be shown to medical staff before the injection.

○ If the medication was purchased or prescribed outside the clinic, the first injection should be given in a city/district level hospital. 

Note: Antibiotics, biological products, traditional Chinese medicine and hospital-made injections cannot be injected at the clinic. 

05 Vaccination service 

Flu vaccination
An annual seasonal flu vaccination is the best way to help reduce the risk of getting flu and any of its potentially serious complications. It is normally offered in October/November through the local community hospital. Our clinic will let you know when the flu vaccination is available. 

o Chinese staff are advised to make an appointment via the “浙里办”App. We are happy to provide the guide service if you have any questions.

o For international staff, we will assist you to contact with the Shounan Community Hospital/Baiyun Community Hospital for further appointment. 

HPV vaccination

The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine prevents certain types
of HPV infection that can lead to cervical cancer. The HPV vaccine is recommended for females. Please contact us if you have any questions.
