The Clinic provides a wide range of medical services to the University community including primary care, first aid, medication service, hospital appointment, medical interpretation, vaccination assistance, medical equipment rental, medical standby for high-risk activities, MSH direct billing, student health check, occupational disease support, and etc.

Main services

Pharmacy 

The Clinic offers a selection of over one hundred medicines. For an updated list of available medications, please follow our WeChat account: UNNC_HWC. A doctor's prescription is required for placing an order (minimum processing time: 7 working days).
We encourage students to bring their own medication, as some medicines may be difficult to obtain in certain situations. You are welcome to check medication availability with us in advance via email at UNNC.Clinic@nottingham.edu.cn.

Medical supporting services 

  • Ice bags, crutches and wheelchairs are available for free rental.
  • Sphygmomanometer (BP device): measures blood pressure.
  • Glucometer: measures blood sugar levels.
  • Pulse Oximeter: Non-invasive monitoring of oxygen saturation using a fingertip sensor.
  • Nebulizer: Converts medication from liquid to mist for inhalation.
  • Hospital Advice and Booking: Assistance with appointments at medical facilities within China.
  • External specialist: workshop, 1 on 1 consultations, etc.
  • Health Care: 1:1 consultation on health reports, overseas travel health advice, vaccination enquiries and bookings.
  • Health promotion: First aid training, workshops, activities, events, etc.
  • On-site support: medical support for major campus events such as open days, exams, graduations, sports events.
  • Medical statement: we provide the medical statement for UNNC student. If it was difficult for you to come to our clinic, please contact us to get help.

Payment and insurance

Payment can be made by cash, WeChat and campus card.

Social Medical Insurance card or e-medical card (if applicable) are available through Ali-pay. This option is available for students from Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

Comprehensive Medical and Accident Insurance applies to international students.

MSH Insurance direct billing is available (see below for more information).

Intramuscular Injection Service (08:30 - 16:00 daily)

This service is provided under the following conditions: 

○ Medical records and doctor's prescription must be presented to clinic staff before receiving an injection.

○ For medications purchased or prescribed outside the clinic, the first injection should be administered at a city/district-level hospital. 

Note: Antibiotics, biological products, traditional Chinese medicine and hospital-made injections cannot be injected at the clinic. 

 

Vaccination assistance

Flu vaccination
The annual seasonal flu vaccine helps reduce the risk of flu and its complications. It is typically offered in October/November through the local community hospital. The Clinic will inform you when the flu vaccine becomes available.

 Chinese students: Appointments can be made via the “浙里办” App. We are happy to assist with guidance if needed.

 International students: Assistance is available for scheduling appointments with Shounan Community Hospital (首南街道卫生服务中心) or Baiyun Community Hospital (白云街道卫生服务中心).

HPV vaccination

The HPV vaccine helps prevent infections that can lead to cervical cancer. It is recommended for females. Please contact us with any questions.
