FoSE Global Engagement and Partnership Committee (GEPC)

Committee introduction

The FoSE Global Engagement and Partnership Committee (GEP Committee) operates as a sub-committee under the FoSE Faculty Management Board (FMB)  and aligns with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) Global Engagement Strategy. Its remit is to advance the FoSE’s global engagement initiatives and enhance its reputation through , international collaboration, strategic partnerships and impactful internationalisation efforts. The committee is responsible for developing, monitoring, and reviewing policies and activities at the faculty level that promote UNNC’s global presence and support the University’s broader internationalisation agenda.

Misson

The FoSE GEP Committee is dedicated to elevating the Faculty’s global profile by fostering collaboration with leading international institutions and enhancing UNNC’s reputation worldwide. By aligning with the University’s Global Engagement Strategy, the committee supports faculty-level initiatives that promote internationalization across academic disciplines, empowering students, staff, and alumni to contribute to a globally connected academic community.

Strategy

Our strategy is built on four key pillars to strengthen internationalization:

1. Cultivating Diversity: Attracting a diverse, globally-minded student body through targeted recruitment and providing inclusive support to enrich the Faculty’s community.
2. Enhancing Mobility: Expanding opportunities for student and staff mobility to encourage cross-cultural learning, collaboration, and professional development.
3. Building Partnerships: Establishing strategic global partnerships with leading institutions to drive research, academic exchange, and collaborative initiatives.
4. Strengthening Alumni Networks: Engaging alumni worldwide to foster lifelong connections, leverage their expertise for mentorship, and amplify the Faculty’s global outreach.
