CeDEx China hosts Workshop on Discrete Mathematics, Game Theory and Optimisation

CeDEx China organised a half-day workshop on Discrete Mathematics, Game Theory and Optimization on 17 June, bringing together faculty members and PhD students for an engaging academic exchange.

The workshop featured two invited talks. Dr Zhongzheng Tang from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications presented on welfare-maximising budget-balanced mechanisms for public goods, while Dr Uwe Schauz from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University delivered a talk on managing complex mathematical proofs, using Tutte’s 3-Flow Conjecture as a case study.

Participants engaged in lively discussions throughout the event, reflecting CeDEx China’s continued commitment to fostering interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
