On 12th December, The University of Nottingham Ningbo (hereinafter referred to as "UNNC") signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ningbo Health Gene Technologies Co., LTD (hereinafter referred to as "HGT") and inaugurate the Ningbo Health Gene Technologies Co Ltd x University of Nottingham Ningbo China Management Innovation Centre (hereinafter referred to as " Management Innovation Centre").
Meaning of the event
This ceremony deepens the cooperation between UNNC and Ningbo Health Gene Technologies. This cooperation helps to build a platform for communication between the school and the enterprise, enabling both parties to share and exchange their abundant internal resources. On the one hand, UNNC will provide talent training services for Health Gene Technologies by relying on its high-quality international education resources and experienced faculty team. On the other hand, as a well-known enterprise in the field of medical laboratory technology, Health Gene Technologies will become a practice base for UNNC, providing convenience for students to walk into high-tech enterprises in advance, understand the employment market, and establish career development goals.
Review of previous cooperation
Previously, NUBS China UNNC had cooperated with Health GeneTech to carry out the "HGT International Talent Training Programme”. The programme saw 113 young talents from HGT integrate knowledge and experience through four months of in-depth learning, boosting the company's future development, laying a good foundation for the signing of MoU.

In the speech, Professor Kok Wei Khong pointed out that Today, we are establishing the Health Gene Technologies x University of Nottingham Ningbo China t Centre. This not only provides a new way for UNNC students and staff to access industry practices and improve the practical application of academic knowledge, but also helps HGT' staff to benefit from the latest academic research and business management strategies. The Management Innovation Centre will be committed to advancing medical testing technology and contributing valuable research to society, through collaborative research and development.
Future cooperation
In the free discussion session, the two sides discussed case scenarios and platforms for teaching in UNNC, student competitions, and scientific research in business management, intelligent manufacturing, chemical industry, and medical testing, etc. At the same time, they formulated the second Management Innovation Training Plan, in which the University of Nottingham Business School (China) will provide HGT senior executives with international quality enhancement courses related to the development of strategic and design thinking skills.
Future prospects
This cooperation is not only a ceremony but also a journey that has the potential to create significant change.
