Programme Introduction

From August 3rd to 9th, 2025, a group of high school students from all over the country came to the University of Nottingham Ningbo to participate in an interesting entrepreneurial business war project -- the 2025 Global Young Business Leaders Excellence Program.

This summer school program aims to stimulate the potential of young people and push them to complete the transformation from creativity to business practice. Students here understand the operation mode of real entrepreneurial projects and experience the innovative practice, transform from the identity of students to business stars, and complete the magnificent transformation from crisis handling to conquering investors.

Preparation Before Class

Before the official opening of the summer school, students have completed the online pilot course, learned the basic knowledge of entrepreneurship in advance, and overcome the initial business challenges, and entered the campus with a solid knowledge reserve, fully prepared for the subsequent business competition.

Business Adventure

The summer school began with a relaxed ice-breaking ceremony. After a brief introduction of the trip and the mentor team, a few small games let the original strangers get familiar with each other, 6 teams were quickly established, followed by the synchronous completion of the campus safety training, ready for the next challenge.

Course Content

After the six teams formed a team, they first plugged into the "knowledge charging station" of the business school. The professors have brought some interesting courses, not only bringing the Harvard Business School simulator into the classroom, so that students can cultivate teamwork skills in the simulation of climbing Mount Everest, but also teaching students how to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking and ignite business enthusiasm with real business stories. During the period, we also invited the Li Dak Sum Incubater to share the entrepreneurial dry goods and took everyone around the work area, which was full of inspiration in an instant.

In the final stage, the business school professor specialized in brand marketing strategy, from market positioning to communication skills, all can be used directly as "practical tips" to help you polish the project more professionally.

Project Construction

The financial intelligence tutor took the students to disassemble the business plan and refine it into executable stage goals. They carried out outdoor research with questionnaires, collected first-hand data at sites, and improved their data analysis ability in practice. The teacher used case analysis and scenario simulation to guide the second brainstorm, set up "product out of stock" and other scenarios to force the team to respond immediately, determine the direction of the plan in the collision, and unlock the strategic planning skills simultaneously. Teachers guide product electronic design and organize advertising creative competition to help break through the stereotypes; CAI Shang specializes in public speaking, honing the skills of a 30-second elevator speech and road show aura, so that each team can express themselves confidently.

The final highlight is the official roadshow, where teams take the stage in turn and present the results of a few days, both professionally reviewed by the judges and authentically rated by the public. There were frequent interactions on and off the stage, and each team showed its growth and transformation from theory to practice in this actual test.

Awards Ceremony

At the awards dinner, special guests presented team honors, individual honors, and certificates to the outstanding teams and students. In the closing speech, the leading teacher said, "Your creativity and execution are exactly what future business leaders should be like." These words not only affirmed the hard work of the students but also encouraged them to continue to forge ahead on the road of business exploration.

A round table was specially set up in the ceremony, inviting professionals from all walks of life to sit around and share valuable experiences with students based on their own experiences. They talked about the challenges and breakthroughs on the road of entrepreneurship, analyzed the changes and opportunities in the business market, and patiently answered the students' questions about career planning and industry trends, so that the teenagers could not only gain honors, but also learn the wisdom and nutrients from the real business world.

After-class Activities

In the tense rhythm of business war, the brain continues to operate at high speed, inspiration and pressure alternately collide. And when the class bell temporarily rests, another corner of the campus is preparing for this group of teenagers to release the vitality of the space, so that the nervous tension in the laughter slowly stretches. In the Ultimate Frisbee activity, students sweat on the lawn in Nottingham, Ningbo. Frisbees ignite the students' passion for sports. In the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class, students stretch their bodies and release the pressure of study.

Conclusion

At the end of the week, the students bid farewell to Ningnuo campus with a full harvest and growth. The result of the entrepreneurial project from 0 to 1, the transformation from knowledge theory to business practice, each step is the deepening of business cognition, and each collaboration is the sharpening of leadership. This journey is not only the accumulation of knowledge and skills, but also the transformation from the germination of ideas to the landing of business, which has written a strong prologue for the future business exploration. For the young people to take what they learn today as a sail and break the waves in the broader business sea.
