On 11 November, the 2023 winter graduation ceremony of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was held. Over 300 students from taught postgraduate programmes and postgraduate research programmes graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) with degrees in International Communications Studies, International Relations and International Business, International Relations and World History, Applied Linguistics, International Higher Education, Finance and Investment (Economics, Money and Finance), Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, Interpreting and Translation Mandarin and English and Professional Doctorate in Education.

Highlights included BA English Language and Applied Linguistics student Pengcheng SHEN receiving the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for exceptional achievement and Dr Derek Irwin winning a prestigious national award for his module "Introduction to Drama". The ceremony was concluded with a speech from MA TESOL graduate Yuanjie SHENG and an FHSS-hosted a party to celebrate this special moment!
