On 18 January 2022, the Ningbo Social Science Academy International Talent Development Research Base hosted the first of several open forum to discuss the Base’s vision, research projects and research outputs. Base Chief Expert, Professor Anwei Feng; Director, Dr. Jenny Dong; Dr Christine Lee of the School of Education and English; and leads of the four research strands all spoke at the forum, giving detailed accounts of their visions, project ideas, timelines and inviting collaboration. The forum attracted UNNC leaders including Dr. Cohen Tan, Interim VP T&L, Professor Martin Lockett, Dean of FoB, Ms Min Rose, Deputy Director of Knowledge Exchange, as well as many research active academics and PhD students. The aim of the Base, as agreed by the participants, is not only to further develop insights into the internationalization of higher education, but also to enhance UNNC’s status and capacity as a vibrant hub to nurture glocal talents through internationalization at home.
