Nottingham Global Case Centre (NGCC) is the only official case centre within the University of Nottingham's global system spanning the UK, China, and Malaysia, it represents a significant step in leveraging the University’s deep expertise in business case development and extending it onto a broader, globally connected platform to advance research and commercial innovation.

Vision
To become a knowledge hub that integrates local practices with global wisdom, driving the development and advancement of sustainable business education by establishing a value cycle of ‘diverse local practices – global theory – world classroom’.
Mission
- Deepening local engagement, co-creating knowledge: Through deep collaboration with Chinese government bodies and enterprises, we transform cutting-edge business practices into universally applicable research insights to serve regional development.
- Extracting wisdom and defining theories: From the local management scenarios under different development paths in China and around the world, develop landmark cases that combine local insights with global teaching value, and become the key knowledge carriers for reshaping the global business classroom.
- Empowering Global Business Education and Future Leaders: By supplying exemplary case studies to world-leading platforms such as Harvard, IE Business School, and CEIBS, we provide essential learning tools for learners at various stages—undergraduates, postgraduates, MBAs, and corporate executives—systematically cultivating a new generation of business leaders capable of deeply understanding and navigating complex global environments, particularly China's business ecosystem.
- Building bridges of dialogue: To become the premier dialogue platform and knowledge portal connecting Chinese business practices with the global management academia, education sector and business community.
Core Strategy: The Twin Helix of Knowledge and Action Innovation
We draw upon our ‘Local Co-creation Laboratory’ as the source to capture vibrant, first-hand practice; utilising our ‘Global Academic Refiner’ as the core to elevate this into intellectual assets possessing both pedagogical and theoretical value. These two elements mutually catalyse each other, forming an enhanced cycle that progresses from practice to theory and then feeds back from theory to practice. This ensures our work possesses both local relevance and global impact.
Value proposition
- For our Chinese partners: Your best practices will serve as exemplars for classroom discussions in business schools worldwide.
- For the global academic and educational communities: Your research partner and repository of contextual insights into the cutting-edge knowledge of market commercial logic under diverse developmental pathways in China and worldwide.
- For learners worldwide: As future business leaders, you will immerse yourselves in authentic decision-making scenarios that textbooks cannot provide, through our cutting-edge case studies drawn from diverse global markets. This is not merely an acquisition of knowledge, but a bespoke core training programme designed to hone your cross-cultural leadership and practical decision-making capabilities.
Aspirations from Director
In this era of rapid change, innovation and persistence are our cornerstones. We believe that only by staying current and continually innovating in education can we infuse our educational efforts with a continuous stream of vitality.
NGCC is dedicated to upholding high standards of professional ethics, which we demand of ourselves and which society and our students expect from us.
