The Student Engagement and Employability Development (SEED) Scheme is our flagship programme dedicated to empowering students to explore career pathways, strengthen employability skills, gain practical experience, and build professional networks. Through the SEED, students acquire invaluable experiences that prepare them for meaningful careers.
We provide a comprehensive extracurricular framework that enables students to engage in real-world business projects, address industry and community challenges, and receive mentorship to excel in national and global competitions. SEED Mission
The SEED Scheme exists to bridge the gap between classroom theory and global practice. Through diverse pathways of discovery and engagement, we equip students with the competitive edge to excel professionally, while instilling the social responsibility and innovative spirit necessary to make a meaningful difference in the world.
The SEED Scheme is NUBS China’s core initiative, bridging classroom learning and social practice. I expect students to explore career paths, accumulate practical experience, cultivate a sense of responsibility, and develop their capabilities through this Scheme. I wish that the Scheme will continue to empower youth development. May it bring lasting momentum to the long-term development of every student.

The SEED Scheme is open to all current undergraduate and postgraduate students at Nottingham University Business School China. Most activities encourage cross-faculty, cross-discipline, and cross-year collaboration. We welcome all students with a passion for hands-on experience and personal growth. How do I sign up?
Please look out for activity notifications from the SEED Scheme official email address (NUBSChinaSEED@nottingham.edu.cn). Each activity email will provide a registration link. Simply follow the instructions to complete your registration. Just a few steps to join the SEED Scheme.
Do I need to pay any fees?
The SEED Scheme is completely free for all eligible students. For activities that may involve travel or registration fees, the Scheme offers full or partial subsidies. See the activity email for specific details.
Can I take part in more than one pathway at the same time?
Absolutely. The four pathways are independent of each other. You may choose from pathways based on your interests and schedule, broadening your hands-on experience.
Will I receive a certificate?
After completing a project or an activity, you will receive a participation certificate. It is a testament to your commitment and growth, and a strong addition to your CV. Please refer to the activity email for certificate issuance rules.
