On 12^th May 2023, took place the Final Review of the Architectural Design Studio 2B & 3B modules (ABEE2023 & 3056) at the Department of Architecture and Built Environment (ABE). This event was also the conclusion, for UNNC, of the UNNC X CAA Joint Design Studio (JDS), a 9 months long teaching & learning activity that was initiated by the Design Unit 1 - tutors Eugenio Mangi, Andrea Palmioli, Shiyun Qian钱诗韵and Luca Frassanito - from ABE in cooperation with the Undergraduate Thesis Project of the Department of Environmental Art at the China Academy of Art (CAA) – tutor Yimin Su 苏弋旻.

This initiative, that saw the participation of 40+ graduating students from both universities and 10+ guest critics throughout the Autumn and Spring Semester, enhanced the peer-learning process through joint design reviews, debates and seminars that took place in Ningbo and Hangzhou. Tutors, guests and students had the chance to draft a reflection about the role of ecology and building reuse by proposing and assessing a series of innovative design strategies for the Wushan area in Hangzhou city centre.
