The University of Nottingham Ningbo China Education Foundation was awarded "5A Social Organisation" again.

With the announcement on 17 December of the assessment results of the province’s social organisations for 2024 by Zhejiang Province’s Civil Affairs Department, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China Education Foundation (UNNC Education Foundation) was awarded the highest grade - Grade 5A social organisation, which is the second time the honour has been bestowed, after first receiving this level of award in 2019.

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China Education Foundation (UNNC Education Foundation) was established on 4 September 2012 and is a non-public foundation approved by the Department of Civil Affairs of Zhejiang Province and the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province. It is the first Sino foreign cooperative university foundation in Zhejiang Province to be awarded a 5A rating.

Since 2012, UNNC Education Foundation has adhered to its mission of ‘pooling resources and wisdom, cultivating virtue and nurturing people’, actively expanding and absorbing social resources, and comprehensively supporting and promoting the long-term construction and development of UNNC.

The award of 5A social organisation is an achievement of the Education Foundation under the guidance of the university and the Education Foundation board, as well as the deep support of alumni and the community. This honour is not only a recognition of the Education Foundation's past work, but also an incentive for future work.

Taking this as a new starting point, UNNC Education Foundation will continue to strengthen its role as a bridge between the university, its supporters, alumni and the wider community, gather more social resources, actively adapt to the needs of the university's future development, and dedicate itself to contributing to the development of the university and injecting new vitality into the development of public welfare and philanthropic undertakings in the community.
