Abstract:

The products from hidden champions are everywhere. You cannot live without them. Yet, these companies are most likely non-existent to you. This lecture will help open your eyes to this unique and important species of companies by defining what they are and articulating why they are significant. More importantly, the lecture will identify the invaluable lessons these champions provide that will enable companies – especially small and mid-sized ones – to not only grow but also dominate their market.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Wang specializes in researching and teaching strategic management of firms. His research centers on how firms can best set and adjust the relationship with stakeholders to enhance competitiveness. He has published academic papers in several renowned international journals. As an expert in case writing and teaching in China, Dr. Wang has published cases on various leading firms like Fotile, Moris, FamilyMart, Tim Hortons, etc. He is a recognized expert on hidden champions and has given talks on the subject to companies and business schools. He earned his PhD from Ivey Business School, Canada, and has taught in universities in the US, China, and Canada.
