In this STAR Career Talk, we have invited two senior executives from Kantar Worldpanel China, Justin Cook and Jeremie Jacquier, to share their paths towards career achievement and happiness. Looking back on their career journey in Kantar Worldpanel, Justin and Jeremie emphasize the importance of finding a genuinely passionate company about cultivating talents and motivating success. Having extensive marketing research experience in China and the globe, Justin and Jeremie will also provide insights of how young graduates can start and grow a career in the marketing research industry and further point out critical personal characteristics and external enablers contributing to enjoyable and successful work life in marketing research and beyond.
About the Speaker:
Justin Cook, Head of Expert Solutions in Kantar Worldpanel China
Justin has been working for Kantar Worldpanel for 20 years and has spent the last 11 years in China. He is currently heading up the Expert Solutions team for China and working with clients to create and deliver advanced analytical solutions, such as Media Research, Shopper Research, and LinkQ, to answer key business questions and inspire successful decisions.
In China, Justin initially led the panel client service team for the Unilever account and subsequently moved to a regional role for Asia. He managed Mondelēz and Nestlé accounts in the field of Longitudinal Household Panel Research to deliver impactful insights. Before arriving in China, Justin worked in the UK Kantar Worldpanel business on key accounts such as P&G, Coke and Cadbury and ran the graduate recruitment program.
Through acquired expertise and determination, Justin advanced himself in Kantar Worldpanel from an entry-level position to Head of Expert Solutions and Group Account Director. In Addition, he accomplished his bachelor education in business management at the University of Bradford and overseas studies at the University of Manitoba.
Jeremie Jacquier, Account Director in Kantar Worldpanel China
Jeremie Jacquier is the Account Director of Unilever account in China. He has many years of marketing experience in the FMCG industry, including eight years of experience in Marketing Research.
Jeremie joined Kantar Worldpanel China at the beginning of 2020 as the Account Director of the Panel service team for Unilever’s accounts. Previously, he worked in Kantar Global office based in London, where he served across FMCG categories. He was responsible for developing the Marketing Research Service for Unilever and the relationship with other marketing agency partners. While serving for Unilever, he received the Unilever Kantar Knowledge Award, as the most impressive transformational action, out of 247 entries.
Before he became a member of the Kantar family, Jeremie was the trade marketing manager in Unilever France, specializing in personal care. He completed his master’s degree in Burgundy School of Business major in Wine & Spirits Marketing. He studied at Shanghai University for one year as an exchange student during his master study.
