个人简介

I began my life at UNNC as a tutor on the Centre for English Language Education’s (CELE) Pre Master’s program. I have since become a tutor for the undergraduate preparation year and teach a number of different courses on this program.

I have an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Manchester, an undergraduate Law degree from Cardiff University, and a Cambridge diploma in English language teaching.

Before coming to UNNC, I previously taught in Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. My research interests mostly relate to the field of discourse analysis, and, in particular, the role that metaphor plays in professional situations such as the courtroom or the lecture theatre. In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sport. I often go cycling and go to the gym, and I have recently started learning how to speak Chinese (again).
