At FoSE, our reputation for excellence in science and engineering is underpinned by internationally leading research and the highest quality of teaching. Our students are taught by experienced academics who are leaders in their field. Their expertise is reflected in our teaching, and brings a unique advantage to our undergraduate degrees which are respected and valued by industry and commerce worldwide.
Our teaching is delivered through lectures, which are supported by smaller tutorials and seminars. There are plenty of opportunities for hands-on practical sessions in our extensive engineering laboratories. Assessment is based on course work and project work, examinations, and individual essays and presentations.
We work closely with the industry outside of the University – this ensures our students have opportunities to get involved with real engineering challenges. Our students will gain first-hand experience of engineering as a career, which ensures they leave us with the skills and knowledge that employers want.
