At the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), the Faculty of Science and Engineering offers world‑class laboratories and research facilities that support cutting‑edge teaching, discovery, and innovation. Reflecting the University of Nottingham’s global commitment to excellence, our Ningbo campus provides an international environment where science and engineering converge to address real‑world challenges. We now have 76 labs on campus totaling almost 7,000sqm of space.

Our teaching laboratories provide advanced, hands‑on learning experiences in mechanical design, electronics, programming, and chemical process engineering. Students work in modern, well‑equipped spaces that mirror the standards of our UK campuses and prepare them for professional and research careers worldwide.
Facilities include precision manufacturing tools, materials testing systems, chemical analysis equipment, high‑speed computing clusters, and robotics workstations. Engineering labs feature 3D printers, CNC machines, and structural testing rigs, while science facilities house spectroscopy, optical and scanning electron microscopy, and environmental monitoring instruments.
