We are excited to launch our UNNC AI Research Institute. The University has a wide range of AI research conducted across the campus, and at this webpage we will showcase the excellent research being developed in AI at University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
We currently have several research centres with AI-related research projects. Please have a look to see what we are doing:
The UNNC AI Research Institute was initiated in September 2025 with the following goals:
- Promote AI research, events and initiatives at UNNC to a wider audience by means of an AI website, news and public engagement.
- Internal workshops and dissemination of research work in AI.
- Coordinate AI research within UNNC, make connections, and promote cross-departmental collaboration.
- Organize AI research into key themes such as: AI in healthcare, AI in finance, responsible AI, and so on.
- A vehicle to promote coordinated AI training for research staff at UNNC in collaboration with the Library and Learning Academy.
- Promote ethical AI research across the university and in coordination with the Research Ethics Committees; and AI policy frameworks in teaching.
- Build common AI framework and resources (such as high-performance computing) across UNNC.
