Welcome to the International Doctoral Innovation Centre (IDIC)! IDIC is an innovative PhD programme where students spend part of their PhD trainings in University of Nottingham’s UK campus, and conducts their multi-disciplinary research in the areas of Digital Technologies and Energy with the supervisions from faculty members from both the China and UK campuses. IDIC students tackle research questions that have both theoretical and practical impacts, and this is demonstrated by their publications in top journals, as well as obtaining jobs in universities, research institutes and industry. Welcome to our IDIC Web space. The IDIC PhD programme is a very prestigious and innovative one, with a first year spent in the UK campus, preparing you for your following three years at Ningbo. While at Ningbo, you are paired with a supervision team, often including academics from both the Ningbo and UK campus, who work with you throughout your PhD period, helping to bring out the best in you and your research. In addition to the supervisors, we have a leadership and support team who are always ready to listen to your concerns and ideas, and are eager to help provide the best PhD experience possible for you. IDIC is a diverse and exciting graduate student community.
