Scholarships for non-degree programmes

For exchange or study abroad students studying in Univeristy of Nottingham Ningbo China, the following scholarships maybe applied. 

Approximately 5% of exchange students may be awarded this scholarship. The winner will be awarded a one-off payment of  3,000 RMB each semester. Students will be informed with scholarship information and quota by the Global Engagement Office after they have successfully registered at University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

Eligibility

• Candidates must be from a country or region outside of China including China's Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan regions and hold a valid passport or ID from that country or region.
• Candidates must be full-time applicants who applied for the University of Nottingham Ningbo China international exchange programme.
• Candidates should demonstrate high level of academic performance.
• Candidates are required to adhere to UNNC's learning and academic regulations, meet the course attendance requirement, and have no tuition/accommodation fees that are still owed.

How to apply

Students who would like to apply for this scholarship will need to prepare the following documents and submit to Global Engagement Office together with their exchange programme application form:

• Application form
• Personal statement (500 words)
• Most recent academic transcript

Candidates will be selected based on their academic performance and students will be nominated within one month after registration day each semester. This scholarship will be paid into students' account after nomination. All candidates will be issued a scholarship certificate.

Application deadline: 13 September 2025 (for September intake) / 24 February 2026 (for Spring intake)

The global ambassador award was set-up to recognize the contribution of incoming exchange students from global partners of University of Nottingham China who have actively engaged with our Global Engagement Office in promoting University of Nottingham China exchange, and degree programmes to prospective students in their home universities and countries.

Successful applicants will be awarded 5,000 RMB to each for their exchange study at University of Nottingham China. 

Eligibility

• Candidates are required to adhere to UNNC's learning and academic regulations, meet the course attendance requirement, and have no tuition/accommodation fees that are still owed.
• Applicants must be able to meet the required level of promotion of University of Nottingham China exchange, Postgraduate-taught and Postgraduate research programmes to students in their home universities via social media, exchange fairs or webinars, and participation in any additional volunteering work in Global Engagement Office related projects;
• Have a strong desire and commitment to help University of Nottingham China Global Engagement Office to improve services offered to incoming exchange students;
• Have excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Have a desire to work and interact with Global Engagement Office and the student community and help University of Nottingham China outgoing exchange students to understand your country and university;
• Lead or coordinate new projects with Global Engagement Office colleagues, which could involve social media posts, video production, document proof-reading and translating;
• Willing to share your email address and have a desire to advise or help answering any email enquiries for future exchange students from your home university to University of Nottingham China.
