Scholarship for domestic PGT applicants
* Please note that students are eligible to receive one entry-based Nottingham scholarship award and one progresion-based award during their academic study at UNNC. Should students be considered for two awards, the highest award will be automatically granted.
* These scholarships are designed to reward full-time postgraduate students with outstanding academic performance on a competitive basis.

Hope Scholarship
This is a full scholarship (130,000 RMB/person), covering tuition fee, accommodation cost, text books and living stipend of financial aid to SIX students who meet ALL criteria below:
- Be a Chinese national.
- Recommendation by prestigious Chinese universities or self-application Postgraduate programmes at UNNC for September 2024 entry.
- Candidate with the 2023/24 academic year’s official recognition of status in the category of 'family financial situation in particular difficulty / 家庭经济特别困难' or equivalent status from HEIs of his/her undergraduate study.
- Graduated from a Chinese mainland university recognized on the "World-Class Universities and World-Class Disciplines" list with a minimum of an average score of 85 percent / have received first class degree or above from a Sino-Foreign university based in China.
- An IELTs at 7.0 (6.0) or passing language test evaluated by the University of Nottingham Ningbo China to prove the equivalent language capacity.
These scholarships are only valid for the current academic year and will be granted once the students are formally registered.
Separated application for Nottingham Hope Scholarship is required. In order to complete the Nottingham Hope Scholarship application, a filled scholarship application form must be uploaded to the Postgraduate Taught Programmes application system by 31st May, 2024.
High Achiever Scholarship
Half-tuition scholarships (50,000 RMB/person) for students meeting the following criteria,
- Be a Chinese national.
- Have graduated from a Chinese mainland university recognized on the “World-Class Universities and World-Class Disciplines” list with a minimum of an average score of 82 percent / Have received 2:1 degree or above from an overseas/HMT/JV university.
- An IELTs at 7.0 (with each element no less than 6.0) or equivalent.
These scholarships are only valid for the current academic year.
Students wishing to be considered for the scholarship must complete an additional application form, and upload it to the Postgraduate Taught Programmes application system by 31st May, 2024. The Admissions Office will evaluate all applications and decide on successful candidates. Interviews with potential candidates may be necessary as part of this process.
Alumni Scholarship
In recognition of the academic ability of University of Nottingham graduates, students applying for full-time postgraduate studies at University of Nottingham Ningbo China and who have previously studied at undergraduate level at University of Nottingham UK, China or Malaysia are entitled to a 15% tuition fee scholarship.
No application is required for this scholarship.
Family Scholarship
A 10% fee reduction for the children, brothers, sisters, husbands or wives of students who are currently registered on award bearing courses at University of Nottingham Ningbo or who have already successfully completed award-bearing courses.
No application is required for this scholarship.
