Dr. Ooi Keng-Boon, FASc (DEng, Ph.D., Hon. DMgt) is a Distinguished Professor of Industrial Management and Information Systems at UCSI Graduate Business School, UCSI University. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (FASc).

Professor Ooi’s research interests include information systems and industrial management. He has published more than 160 papers in international refereed journals indexed to the WoS (SSCI/SCI/SCIE) of which more than 100 papers are published in A /A*-ranked journals by ABDC 2022 Journal Quality List. His current Google Scholar Citation H-index is 86; Scopus H-index is 71; WoS H-Index is 61, with over 25,000 citations (as of Jan 2024). Professor Ooi has published in several top-tier journals including Harvard Data Science Review, Tourism Management, Decision Support Systems, Information and Management, Transportation Research Part E, Information Technology and People, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Business Research, Business Strategy and the Environment, SCM: An International Journal, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Production Planning & Control, Information Systems Frontiers, International Journal of Production Economics, Annals of Operations Research, Government Information Quarterly, R&D Management and among others.

Professor Ooi’s research excellence and impact are recognized with different honours received from various international bodies of repute. He has been named as one of the World's Highly Cited Researchers 2023 by Clarivate™. He has also been listed in the World’s Top 2% of the Most-Cited Scientists in the field of 'Business and Management' by the Stanford University List from 2020 to 2022. He was ranked #1 Most Productive Author in the World for publishing in the 'TQM-HRM' domain (19991-2021); World’s Top 14 Authors in 'Mobile Payment' (1997-2021); World’s Top 14 Most Prolific Author in 'Knowledge Management' (1990-2019); World’s Top 3 Most Productive Author in 'TQM' (1990-2019); World’s #1 Top Core Authors in the field of 'Social Commerce' research (2003-2018); World’s #1 Most Productive Author and the World’s #2 Most Influential Author in 'Mobile Commerce and its Applications' (2000-2015); World’s Top 5 Most Productive and Influential authors who had published research papers in the journal ‘Industrial Management and Data Systems (IMDS)' (1994-2019). He was also ranked #3 in Malaysia and #182 in the World in the field of ‘Business and Management’ based on the Discipline H-index by Research.com (as of 21st December 2022).
