Favourite Sport(s) / Sporting Activities
|
My favourite sports are football and skiing but I enjoy participating and watching almost all sports. I also love outdoor sporting activities that get you out into the environment and challenge you in so many different ways as well as helping to keep you fit and healthy.

Any Sporting Success or Qualifications you are proud of?
|
I played football at a semi-professional level and won a number of league championships and played in many cup finals. Whilst I experienced the joy of winning, I also had the disappointment of losing and discovering how to use that disappointment to become a better player. Later in my playing days, I was also part of a successful futsal team, that qualified for the National Futsal Cup.
Whilst working in the French Alps, I had some success skiing and went on to become a professional ski instructor and in football I gained my UEFA A License, the highest level of coaching award in world football.
Finally, as a Director of Sport in a previous role, I led a team to significant success which included supporting students who achieved medals at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What do you like about working at UNNC Sport?
|
UNNC is an outstanding global university and we have a team that is highly skilled, motivated and ambitious to deliver a sporting programme unlike any other in Asia. When I’m on campus and see the energy and commitment of both the students and staff to innovate and change, I find that truly inspiring and I feel very privileged to lead the Sport and PE Department and I know it has a very bright and exciting future.
