Biography

Dr. Hong-Liang SUN holds BSc degree from Wuhan University and Master degree from University of Science and Technology in China (USTC). He completes PhD in the University of Nottingham in 2018. He serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science in UNNC from 2021. He has been awarded 3 grants, including 1 grant (190k RMB) from NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China) as PI and 2 grants from Jiang-Su Province as Co-PI (2.2 million RMB). His current research mainly focuses on Complex Network Science and Machine Learning, which will solve real world research problems from E-commerce rating systems, digital port automation and social computing areas. He has published more than 10 papers indexed by SCI and EI, including well-known top-tier journals Knowledge-Based Systems (KBS), Chaos and Physica A. He is invited as external reviewer from many well-known SCI-indexed journals including Knowledge-Based Systems, Physica A, Chaos, Industrial Management & Data Systems and CCF conferences.

Research interests

His interests mainly focus on the cutting edge real-world problems from E-commerce and social computing. Interdisciplinary research is carried out to combine complex networks theory and machine learning technologies, especially Game theory, Percolation, Unsupervised Learning, RNN and DRL to solve real-world problems, including Spammer Detection and VRL in Cross-border E-commerce systems.
