CeDEX China Successfully Concludes Two Summer Schools
24 June 2024
CeDEx China at the School of Economics, University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), recently concluded two summer schools focusing on Mathematical Economics & Financial Econometrics (MEFE) and Experimental and Behavioural Economics (EBE). Held from 3 to 21 June 2024, these intensive programmes aimed to enrich students' knowledge in key economic methodologies.
The MEFE summer school, held annually since 2018, aimed to enhance students' proficiency in mathematical and econometric techniques crucial in economics and finance. Recognised for its high quality and educational impact, MEFE has established itself as a cornerstone programme at UNNC.
In its first session, the EBE summer school introduced students to fundamental concepts in behavioural and experimental economics. Emphasizing practical learning, students were encouraged to design and conduct their own experiments, fostering a deeper understanding of research methodologies. Participants had the opportunity to analyse and present their findings, contributing to a comprehensive educational experience.
Both summer schools received positive feedback from participants, highlighting their effectiveness in providing rigorous training and fostering student satisfaction.
These programmes underscore UNNC's commitment to delivering excellence in economics education and preparing students with practical skills for future careers in the field.
