I spent my 4-year undergraduate at UNNC. When I’m in her arms again, I feel so glad and excited. Thanks to my supervisor, Prof. Alain Chong, for providing me this opportunity to pursue my academic aspirations as a Ph.D. student. UNNC is becoming more progressive, well-developed, professional, and inclusive, both in terms of academics, campus facilities, and the staff team. I can feel the humanistic care, passion, and love in every corner of UNNC. These could be the reasons I came back, as well as one of my mental motivations to continue. I hope I can always remain true to my original aspiration and start the next meaningful life here.
Stepping into a Ph.D. programme is a fresh and exciting journey for me. Here, at UNNC, I meet friendly professors, supportive staff, and kind friends. In the induction session organized by the Graduate School, we were inspired to maintain our curiosity and perseverance while pursuing our Ph.D. study. It continues to push us to move further.
PGR Badminton Competition
On 24 February, a badminton competition for the PGR community was held with the purpose of bringing together the members of the community (students and staff), collaborating, and also competing in a fun and stress-relieving way. The signed-up participants played in random pairs, and each winning pair then competed for several rounds of games until it was clear who the winners were. Good relations had been built up between the students and staff and they all had a great time. And special thanks to our PGR & LCF representatives, Tanguy Sindihebura, Shokhrukh Ashrafi, and Yiran Gao, for their efforts and contributions to this event.
