Oct2019 18 00:00 - Nov2019 27 16:00 U21 PwC Innovation Challenge Competition New International Conference Centre About the competition This competition challenges registered graduate students (includes students from taught and research masters programmes, and PhDs) from U21 member institutions to respond to contemporary, globally-important work-related issues (set by PwC) via a short three-minute video. The shortlisted videos are judged by PwC and their clients, who are leaders in graduate career development. The challenge offers students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to ‘real-world’ situations and reflect on their own experiences. Showcase your critical thinking and share your ideas with PwC and their clients to win a 7-day trip to Dubai and some exclusive world-class training and professional development opportunities. Challenge Question How can universities help individuals gain a broader perspective on the long-term impact and consequences of their day-to-day actions on people, society and the environment? What types of jobs will an environmentally-sensitive economy need, and what is the best way to prepare students for them? Eligibility The competition is open to all current registered postgraduate students (includes students from taught and research masters programmes, and PhDs) of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China and Nottingham UK and Malaysia. Timeline 27 November 2019: UNNC live competition maximum 15 participants - 5 winners 4 January 2020: UNNC video submission deadline 4-5 February 2020: Tri-campus competition - 4 winners 14 February 2020: U21 competition deadline - 3 winners Rewards Three overall winning proposals will be selected. The winners will be awarded an expenses-paid trip to Dubai (7 days) courtesy of PwC where they will get the chance to explore the city and also see some of the innovative projects taking place there. Runner-up prizes (6 in total) will include career development coaching with the PwC Academy. Everyone entered into the U21 competition will receive access to online training via the PwC Academy; the assessment and certificate fees will be covered by PwC. PwC are not guaranteeing any job placements and are not acting as a recruitment agent, they will however be providing guidance and training on how to enhance employability skills and share videos with key client judges who are looking for top talent.
