Biography

After completing my Master’s degree at Beijing Foreign Studies University, I moved to the UK to study at the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences, Newcastle University. My doctoral research focused on Discourse Markers in Chinese College EFL Teacher Talk, using a multi-layered analytical approach. I demonstrated Research Methods and taught Mandarin as a Teaching Assistant at the Doctoral Training Centre. I also taught undergraduate module ‘Classroom Skills for TESOL’ at Northumbria University.

After my graduation, I started teaching at the International Pathway Programme in the University for the Creative Arts, UK. I was responsible for the designing and teaching of EAP courses to support international students in Art and Design.

I recently joined CELE as an EAP tutor and enjoy my life here!
