Electrical and Electronic Project Lab covers an area of 78.85㎡, it is used for teaching in Control System Design, Electrical and Electronic Third Year Projects, Electrical and Electronic Laboratory, Robotics and Dynamics and Control. The room is equipped with disc sander, micro bandsaw, bench drill press, micro miller, precision lathe, 3D printer, soldering workstation, hot air station, oscilloscope and signal generator.

The microcontroller laboratory-PMB 322


The microcontroller laboratory is mainly for the electrical and electronic engineering department students.  The laboratory mainly provides basic experiment, design experiment and comprehensive experiment courses of digital circuit, analog circuit and microcontroller. The students, through experiments, can understand the details of the software and hardware design which is based on the microcontroller. The basic modules of the microcontroller can be studied in the lab. These include digital input and output ports, timer, interrupt, A/D conversion, serial communication and PWM. The students' ability of analyzing and solving problems can be improved through the experiments.

Electrical Engineering Lab-PMB 208 & 207


Electrical Engineering Lab is a large Electrical and Electronic Engineering Lab merged from two small lab rooms (207 and 208) in order to satisfy the increasing need of lab room space for increasing numbers of EEE undergraduate students. It has an area of 283.5 square meters, including 30 individual lab benches, 1 large lab experiment platform and many other storage shelves. The lab can hold up to 100 students. For teaching facilities, the lab has 30 sets of DELL7020 desktop computers, a Panasonic LCD projector and Shure Radio Broadcast system. For professional lab experiment equipments, we have a Rigol DS1074Z Digital Oscilloscope, DG4062 Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator and Gw-Instek SPD-3606 DC power supply, Digic4000 EEE platform and modules, and many other small pieces of equipment.

The Key Laboratory of More Electric Aircraft Technology of Zhejiang Province


The Key Laboratory of More Electric Aircraft Technology of Zhejiang Province was established by the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China, and was formally approved by Zhejiang Science and Technology Department and Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission in October 2018. The laboratory is guided by the strong demands of the national civil aviation industry development and industrial upgrading, combined with international frontier development trends. Focusing on the key technologies of motor drive and power electronic, in-depth research on key technologies of more electric aircraft has been implemented, providing cutting-edge technical support for the development of domestic civil aviation manufacturing industry. The laboratory is dedicated to becoming a global leading research institution of electric aircraft, a transformation platform for the novel scientific research output and a testing and technical service platform. After just a few years of development, the laboratory has formed an academic team with reasonable structure, balanced level and outstanding advantages. There are 45 researchers, including 16 with senior professional titles and 13 with deputy senior titles. More than 85% of the researchers have a PhD degree. The research team has rich academic experience and industrial cooperation experience. The team's technical fields include electrical engineering, mechanical design, material physical chemistry, electrochemistry, mathematics and other disciplines.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Research Centre


The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Research Centre in UNNC was founded in 2016 and is an integral part of the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre (SPMIC) in UNUK. The University of Nottingham has long been at the centre of developments in MRI techniques across the world, and MRI has always been and will still be a research priority across the University of Nottingham campuses.
