Accommodation

Exchange/visiting students can apply for the on-campus housing when they fill out the application form (online). On-campus housing is not guaranteed, and rooms are assigned on a first-come first serve basis. Negative Tuberculosis test result is required for students who have applied for on-campus housing (blood test, skin test, x-rays are all acceptable).

Insurance

HEALTH INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS 

You are required to sign up for two different types of insurance during your stay in Korea: the Korean National Health Insurance AND an Insurance of your choice. 

[1] Korean National Health Insurance (Mandatory) 

All D-2 visa international students who plan to study in Korea will automatically be subscribed to the Korean National Health Insurance. This is mandatory regardless of whether you already have a similar insurance plan from your home country. 

[2] Group Insurance (Ewha Collective Insurance) OR other Insurance (Must choose 1)

 In addition to Korean National Health Insurance, students must carry an additional insurance policy. Students may obtain their insurance at their home country or through Ewha Womans University.  

※ Cost of Ewha Group Insurance: 42,000 KRW per semester and 60,000 KRW per year  (Fees are subject to change.)
