Having OSHC for the full duration of your student visa is a visa requirement (some country exemptions may apply). Please note that travel insurance or university insurance is not the same as OSHC. The University of Newcastle can arrange OSHC for you through Medibank if selected on your application. The cost is approximately $430–$480 per semester, with the exact amount listed in your offer letter.
