Professional Development Workshop for English Teachers at Zhejiang Wanli University 2025

This summer, the English Teacher Professional Development Workshop of Zhejiang Wanli University was launched under the careful preparation of the Centre for English Language Education (CELE) at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. Focused on professional competence improvement and classroom teaching guidance, this programme helped teachers from Wanli University comprehensively enhance their teaching capabilities.
The workshop centered on core teaching skills and provided systematic training covering multiple key modules. Through theoretical analysis, real classroom scenario reproduction and micro-teaching guidance, it helped teachers consolidate their teaching foundation comprehensively from theory to practice. It also adhered to the goal of "integrating English into daily life" and built immersive learning scenarios from both in-class and after-class dimensions. It taught interactive teaching methods in class to activate classroom vitality, and provided practical plans after class to enhance the English learning atmosphere on campus, helping teachers extend language learning from the classroom to campus life. In addition, the workshop kept up with educational innovation trends, updating traditional teaching ideas and tools, and showed in detail how technical empowerment and innovative design can break classroom boundaries, injecting new inspiration into teachers' daily teaching.
With the professional guidance of the CELE team and in-depth collaboration between the two universities, this programme helped both parties continue to work together on the path of English teaching innovation, enabling more teachers and students to gain growth through the collision of high-quality educational resources.
