The AI & Robotics Co-Creation Centre (ARC) is a multidisciplinary research and development initiative located within the Ingenuity Lab at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). This center focuses on transforming cutting-edge AI and robotics technologies into effective business solutions. ARC serves as a collaborative platform where students, faculty, and industry partners work together to develop innovative applications that tackle real-world challenges. By combining academic expertise with entrepreneurial practices, ARC empowers students from diverse disciplines to engage in hands-on innovation, enhancing both their technological skills and business knowledge.

Main Activities

Innovation & Development:

  • Incubating AI & robotics-based business solutions.
  • Conducting market-driven research on AI & robotics applications.
  • Developing prototypes and MVPs (Minimum Viable Products).

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

  • Joint research projects with NUBS China (Business School) and FoSE (Faculty of Science & Engineering).
  • Engaging students and faculty from business, engineering, and computer science disciplines.

Entrepreneurial Training & Support:

  • Hosting design thinking workshops, hackathons, and startup boot camps.
  • Mentoring students on business development, funding strategies, and commercialisation.
  • Providing access to industry networks, investors, and corporate partners.

Business Model Validation & Commercialisation:

  • Testing AI & robotics solutions in real-world scenarios.
  • Facilitating industry partnerships for pilot projects.
  • Supporting spin-off startups to launch in the market.
