Professor Yanjun Guan
PhD, The Chinese University of Hong Kong/ Chair Professor in Global Sustainable Strategies and Human Capital Management
Professor Yanjun Guan is Yangtze River Scholar Chair Professor and Chair Professor in Global Sustainable Strategies and Human Capital Management. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology from Peking University and his Doctorate in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Yanjun Guan has accumulated extensive teaching experience in top universities of China (e.g., Renmin University of China) and the UK (e.g., Durham University). He has delivered courses on leadership development, team management, and career management at MBA and executive levels for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Professor Guan also serves as a training expert for the Ministry of Education and leading companies such as Shell China.
Overview
Teams are often cited as the most effective way to achieve unusual and exciting outcomes. When individuals work with others well, they have the potential to create ideas and practices that have never become reality. However, teams rarely work well for a variety of reasons. This interactive programme is designed to bring together ideas around leadership, team development and human relationships in order to show how teams can achieve the impossible.
