EC Claim Submission 

1. How to initiate a new extenuating circumstances claim?

Please access the Extenuating Circumstances Claim BPM system via ‘Portal – Service Cards – Examination and Assessment – Extenuating Circumstances Claim’ and initiate a new application of extenuating circumstances claim.

2. How can I find the status of my EC claim?

You will receive an outcome letter once the panel has made the decision. Please note this letter is the only official notification you will receive regarding the result of your claim. If you wish to verify that your claim has been successfully submitted, you may check the status of your claim via ‘Portal – Student Services – My Actions’ after submission.




3. Who can assist me if I face problems while submitting the online EC claim?

If you encounter any issues while submitting the claim, please take a screenshot of the error message displayed by the system. Then, you can provide the relevant screenshot, the serial number of your claim, and a description of your problem to the IT Service Desk at itservicedesk@nottingham.edu.cn.
